Dracula terborchii was found in the north/west
of Ecuador above Mindo
The plant growing up in culture
by Herman ter Borch from 1996, in 1997
the plant get his first flower in cultivation and
in 1998 the flower was send to Dr. C.A. Luer
who describe the plant in spring 1999.
There are two types of plants in cultivation.
